We are now seeing more and more patients who have had Long Covid or Post Vac Syndrome for 3 years (I can’t imagine what that must be like – I only had it for one year and it was the worst thing I have ever experienced).
But so much has happened recently, and so many things are coming up all the time, that even though we still do not see much being offered to Long Covid and Post Vac sufferers in the medical systems, I am really positive that we are moving in the right direction.
Why is that? Because the progress we have made and the things we now understand about the disease are enormous compared to a year or two ago.
In particular, combination therapy – our ‘Cyprus Protocol’ – has progressed to a point I never thought possible!
We now have 3 physical treatments (Help Apheresis, HBOT, Cryo Therapy) and countless drug based therapies (IVs, drug protocols, stellate ganglion blocks) that when combined and individually adapted to the symptoms/subsets of the disease (be careful – this is not a sticker album thing – more is not better here – it is all about timing and balance) give patients results we never thought possible.
Let me give you an example. If you had told me a year ago that we would treat patients for 12 months (1 month on the island, 11 months telemed) in severe cases, I would not have believed you, because we thought that 6 months after the last treatment all the results gained would show up and after that it would be very difficult to get any improvements. Well, we were wrong! Since we added the Combination Therapy, it is 3-6 weeks in the clinic with Help Apheresis + IV treatments + medication protocols and for some patients HBOT/Cryo Therapy after for another few weeks. But for almost all of them we use medication protocols for 12 months after the treatment by telemed (MCAS, anticoagulation, antivirals, endothelial damage etc). And the results are outstanding.
Science is slowly (very slowly – that’s the nature of science) catching up with clinical developments in some areas. Here are my favourite examples:
– At the ISFA World Conference (International Society for Apheresis), Dr. Gunnar J. Bücker, Dr. Marcella Bürkner, Dr. Lutz Fricke and Prof. Christel Weiß presented their treatment results with Help Apheresis for Long Covid and they were very much in line with what we see in our clinical experience: 80% of our patients improve significantly (and this is Help Apheresis ‘only’ without Combination Therapy)

– And another thing that made me very happy (because it shows we have chosen the right core treatment for our Combination Therapy/The Cyprus Protocol) was the Eureka Health Poll that included 35,000 reports on Long Covid and H.E.L.P.
