Clinical Nutrition – Specialised Nutrition Plans for H.E.L.P. Apheresis and Combination Therapy

Chryso Zorbas – Clinical Nutritionist

Chryso Zorbas is our Clinical Director and Clinical Nutritionist. She will hold your hand nutritionally from day one and guide you along the therapy with a personalized diet plan that will enhance your recovery process before, during and after the treatment course to optimise treatment results to a whole new level. She will design innovative nutrition plans that will support your needs, whilst making sure all your necessary macro and micronutrients are met. The combination of clinical nutrition supervision and health coaching is ‘nothing short of semi-miracles and boosting the treatment results to another level’ (quote of our co-founder Markus Klotz).

Our team calls her ‘positive energy on two legs’ – she has an overwhelming way of making sure our patients feel taken care of very well.

She has acquired her master’s in Clinical Nutrition from the University of Aberdeen in Scotland. You can learn more about Chryso’s work in her talk Click here for videos

Apheresis Center Clinical Nutritionist Chryso Zorbas on how Clinical Nutrition has improved patients’ treatment results

Our Co-founder Markus’ personal recommendation

‘I do not usually make recommendations – the diagnostic tests and clinical experience of our medical team will always beat any personal recommendation. HOWEVER – there is one thing that I have observed that I DO recommend – Health Coaching and Clinical Nutrition Supervision! They make such a huge difference to patients that it would be negligent not to recommend them – no matter what your medical treatment plan is, these are the two things I so wish I had had when I was ill!’

Patient Edward Nicol on how Clinical Nutrition helped him and on working with Chryso Zorbas

‘She was very helpful – veeery helpful – everybody likes different things but she adjusted my diet individually!’ You can find the rest of his testimonial and interview here

1. Clinical Nutrition Supervision before and on treatment

Customized nutrition plan and consultation during the treatment including oral/IV supplementation support tailored to individual treatments/schedule

As soon as therapy commences, the body will shift gears, to adjust to the chemical shifts happening within the body. There can be signs of fatigue and tiredness which often come along with the treatment. To maintain the organs and the various systems of the body in a healthy condition, a personalized diet plan is given out to each patient.

Tests: it is encouraged that each patient completes a laboratory blood test/food allergy panel so that our clinical nutritionist can screen and analyse current health status and recommend the most appropriate diet recommendations.

Consultation: there will be two 30-minute consultations with our clinical nutritionist which will cover an array of questions, going through personal or family disease history as well as current and previous diets.

Nutrition plan: after the consultation(s), each patient shall be sent via email their self-tailored nutrition plan. A 30 minute follow up session (either online or in person) shall follow in the following week, where our clinical nutritionist will go through the email with the patient to explain the recommended diet plan, to ensure that it is understood and comprehended.

Covers: Two 30 minute consultations, analysis of blood and food panel test, personalized nutrition plan and a 30-minute consultation or video call, recipes and education.

2. Clinical Nutrition Supervision post treatment

Customized post-treatment nutrition plan and consultation including oral supplementation support tailored to individual treatments/schedule

After finishing the therapy, the body will start to heal and soon start to function better than previously. To enhance the whole procedure and have more effective and lasting results, a specific diet plan is created, that each patient is recommended to follow. This way, pathogens and invading organisms can be kept away and no longer threaten the body. If necessary, our clinical nutritionist will recommend specific supplements (in addition to the nutrition program) to achieve and maintain homeostasis for each patient.

Before leaving the clinic: Based on your initial personal and family health history and preferences, you will be sent a specialized nutrition program with recommendations of specific food groups and elimination or minimization of others if necessary. A 30 minute follow up session (either online or in person) shall follow in the next three days, where our clinical nutritionist will go through the email with the patient to explain the recommended diet plan, to ensure that it is understood and comprehended.

Covers: Specialized nutrition program and a 30-minute video call.

3. Clinical Nutrition Supervision post recovery – healthy lifestyle

Customized lifestyle nutrition plan and consultation

Everyone has their preferred diet plan that they follow daily. There is scientific evidence, that food plays a pivotal role in our overall health – physically and mentally. Selecting the preferred food groups for the human body ensures optimal health, happiness, and longevity. Specific and personalized nutrition instructions are given to each patient to secure the maximum possible health results.

Follow-up: In our clinic, we praise optimal health outcomes. So, we create personalized nutrition schemes and lifestyle recommendations to make sure that each of our patients is in the best health condition. Each patient can either get their lifestyle nutrition scheme two or three weeks after they leave the clinic. The scheme is sent out via email, where a 30-minute video call is followed to ensure content comprehension.

Covers: Lifestyle scheme and 30-minute video call.
